About

The Applied Metrology Group operates out of two main laboratories. The Imaging (OCT) laboratory houses development of in-house optical coherence tomography and transmission tomography systems. The Digital Interferometry (DI) laboratory houses experiments on spectroscopy, laser stabilisation, and interferometric sensor development.

The laboratories house a number of key pieces of research infrastructure including a Rubidium stabilised optical frequency comb, optical fibre splicing hardware and advanced motion control infrastructure.
