SkyMapper Survey
The Australian National University's SkyMapper telescope has created the first comprehensive digital survey of the entire southern sky from observations spanning the years 2014 to 2023. The result is a massively detailed record of more than a billion stars and galaxies, to a sensitivity one million times fainter than the human eye can see. Images and catalogues from SkyMapper's Southern Survey are freely available to the scientific and general community.
